By Kasese Guide Radio
Bishop Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale of the Diocese of Kasese urged nursing students at Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences to embody compassion and positivity in their patient care approach. He emphasized the importance of living a purposeful life, upgrading their education, and serving others.
During his address at the inauguration of new students and the swearing-in of the student council, Bishop Kibira expressed gratitude for the college’s establishment, despite initial criticism. He attributed the college’s success to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the intercession of Mother Mary.
The Bishop advised students to cooperate, love one another, and spread happiness. He also encouraged them to upgrade their education and retain their skills to serve the community. Mr. Joseph Nzukwa, Chairperson of the Board of Governors, commended Bishop Kibira’s visionary leadership in establishing the college.
Rev. Sr. Sofi Bwefigye Attenyi, the college Principal, reported an enrollment of 94 students. The event marked a significant milestone for Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences, which aims to provide quality education and training in healthcare.
