Daily Catholic Prayer, January 2023
January Prayer
God our Father, we thank you for the year 2023. You are our joy and hope. We look back to the past year with gratitude and surrender our present and future to you. As the spate of accidents in our country heightens, we pray for the many victims of these accidents. May the joy of Christmas radiate not only consolation for the deceased and hope to the recovering but also a guarantee of your safety and protection on our road users so that we may recognize your protective presence in our midst.
At the start of the year, we also pray for students and educators: that educators may be credible witnesses, teaching fraternity rather than competition and helping the youngest and most vulnerable above all. Above all, Lord, we pray that you may orient us to faithfully listen to you and follow your commands throughout this year and that our life will be a reflection of your love. May all our plans and aspirations, resolutions and visions come to fruition according to your will. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary to her Son Jesus Christ in communion with the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
