Ggoli Parish Celebrates Pupils Day with Great Enthusiasm

Ggoli Catholic parish, under the patronage of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, joyfully celebrated Pupils Day today. The event witnessed the presence of over 15 schools, creating an atmosphere of unity and Friendship.

A significant highlight of the occasion was the participation of 100 pupils who received their First Holy Communion, a sacred milestone in their spiritual journey. Additionally, 20 pupils were embraced into the Catholic faith through the sacrament of Baptism.

Under the theme “Every New Day is a Chance to Grow,” the festivities took place at Ggoli Parish, with the esteemed presence of Fr. Joseph Balikudembe, the dedicated chaplain of schools in Ggoli. In his address, he urged the children to broaden their perspective beyond mere academic excellence and marks, emphasizing that life encompasses much more.

The chief guest, alongside Fr. Joseph, emphasized the importance of all-round development and encouraged the young learners to embrace a diverse range of skills. Their words resonated deeply with the attendees, fostering a spirit of curiosity and a passion for holistic growth.

The event also saw the gracious presence of several esteemed teachers from the Mpigi district, adding their support and expertise to the proceedings. In a momentous occasion, they launched the platinum jubilee celebration of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Ggoli Catholic Parish, commemorating 75 years of spiritual guidance and service to the faithful.
