Gulu Archdiocese sets date for New Archbishop’s Installation
The Archdiocese of Gulu has officially set date for the installation and imposition of the pallium on the newly appointed New Archbishop, His Grace Raphael P’Mony Wokorach.
In a Letter released yesterday on Tuesday 16th April 2024 by His Grace John Baptist Odama – Gulu Archdiocese Emeritus Archbishop’s office indicates that the date of the Installation and doing all ordination rites like the installation of the pallium on Most Rev. Raphael P’Mony Wokorach, MCCJ is for Friday 12th July 2024 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Gulu and both rites will take place respectively in the Eucharistic celebration of mass at 10:00 am.
Following this Setting and official date, the letter also shows the immediate appointment of Rev. Fr. Michael Lawrence Komakec the parish priest of the St. Joseph’s Cathedral as a Constitutor and Chairperson of the central organizing Committee (COC) incharge for the preparation and spearheading this event.
“I encourage collaboration of all the Clergy, religious, faithful, and people of Good will in the spiritual, moral and material support to the COC in the preparation of this Event so as to give glory to God.” Said Emeritus Odama.
He added, ” We thank the Lord for the gift of the new shepherd to his church, a signed of his love and care for the salvation of humanity. I appeal to you to accompany him with your prayers as he prepares to take up his great responsibility.”

The Prelate finally entrusted all the faithful to the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, St. Daniel Comboni model and patron of the Comboni missionaries , a congregation where the new Archbishop elect belongs, Blessed martyrs Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa and Blessed Giuseppe Ambrosoli.
