New year’s Harvest in Lira Diocese as Sisters take their Profession of Perpetual Vows

New year’s Harvest: Congratulations!

Today 1st January 2024, Ten Missionary Sisters belonging to the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of The Church have taken a profession of their Perpetual vows in religious Life.

The momentus event took place earlier today at their mother house Ngetta Parish in Lira Catholic Diocese.

The Profession of perpetual vows and mass was led by the Bishop of Lira Diocese Rt. Rev. Lino Wanok Sanctus, accompanied by various other Bishops to mention Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa of Kasana Luweero, Bishop of Kotido Diocese, Bishop Sabino Ocan Odoki of Arua Diocese and His Grace John Baptist Odama of Gulu Archdiocese also grace this event.

It is an extraordinary blessing particularly on the New year’s day as the Church celebrates and honors the Blessed virgin Mary and the mother of the Church.
