University of the Sacred Heart Gulu to Hold 4th Graduation Ceremony Tomorrow, November 22, 2025
As the University of the Sacred Heart (USHG) prepares to celebrate its 4th Graduation Ceremony tomorrow, Saturday 22 November 2025, the Catholic-founded institution has released a heartfelt reflection on its remarkable journey of faith, growth, and academic excellence.

From a bold vision to a thriving centre of higher learning in northern Uganda, USH Gulu marks less than a decade of transformative milestones:
2016: Granted provisional licence by the National Council for Higher Education
2017: Officially opened its doors to the pioneer cohort of students
Humble beginnings: Started with 1 Faculty, 2 Departments and only 2 academic programmes
Today: Proudly boasts 2 Faculties, 4 Departments and 7 diverse degree programmes
Historic leadership transition: In May 2025, His Grace Archbishop Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, MCCJ, was installed as the second Chancellor, succeeding the founding Chancellor, His Grace Emeritus Archbishop John Baptist Odama.
Tomorrow’s graduation will be the fourth in the university’s young history, a joyful celebration of academic achievement and the institution’s unwavering Catholic mission to form minds and hearts for service.
The Vice Chancellor, academic staff, students and the entire USH Gulu community invite all Catholics and well-wishers to join in prayer and celebration as another generation of graduates is sent forth to transform society.
