LUGAZI DIOCESE CELEBRATES PATRON SAINT’S DAY WITH REVERENCE
Bulimu, Uganda – Today, the Lugazi Diocese gathered at the birthplace of St. Ponsiano Ngondwe in Bulimu to commemorate their patron saint’s day. The joyous celebration was led by Bishop Christopher Kakooza as the main celebrant.

During the event, Diocesan officials highlighted the updates of next year’s Uganda Martyrs’ Day celebrations at Namugongo. The Vicar called on Christians to support towards the day by contributing through the receipt cards provided, he also noted the Choir is doing their rehearsals well.

St. Ponsiano Ngondwe, a Ugandan martyr, is the patron saint of soldiers and policemen. His legacy continues to inspire devotion and faith among Catholics in Uganda and beyond.

Bishop Christopher Kakooza emphasized the significance of St. Ponsiano Ngondwe’s life and martyrdom, urging the faithful to emulate his courage and commitment to faith.
A DAY OF PRAYER AND REFLECTION
The celebration included a solemn mass, prayers, and reflections on the life and teachings of St. Ponsiano Ngondwe. The event drew hundreds of faithful from across the diocese.
