Kasese Christians Urged to Work for Eternity

Kasese, Uganda – Rev. Fr. Raphael Balinandi Kambale of the Diocese of Kasese has urged Christians to prioritize their eternal salvation, warning that failure to do so may result in challenges finding space in heaven.

While presiding over Holy Mass at Kitswamba Parish Church, Fr. Balinandi emphasized that hatred, envy, and conflicts are among the obstacles that distance individuals from God’s love. He also attributed the presence of disruptive deceased spirits among some families to a lack of prayerfulness and failure to reconcile while alive.

Fr. Balinandi, a renowned Lhukonzo book writer and song composer, was visiting Kitswamba Parish at the invitation of his foster son, Rev. Fr. Peter Basaliza Mubunga, the Parish Priest.

In his remarks after the Holy Mass, Fr. Basaliza described Fr. Balinandi as his hero, who has invested significantly in his life and priesthood. He encouraged Christians in Kasese to join him in collecting funds for Fr. Balinandi’s Golden Jubilee celebration, slated for December 14, 2024, at Nsenyi Parish.

The event served as a reminder to Christians in Kasese to reflect on their spiritual lives and strive for eternal salvation.
