Kasese Diocese Releases Official Foot Pilgrims Program to Namugongo as Flag-Off Is Set for 19th May 2026
Kasese Diocese has officially released the route chart and pilgrimage program for foot pilgrims travelling to the celebrations at .
According to the pastoral commission program, the pilgrimage activities commenced on 15th May 2026 with the reception of foot pilgrims from the Democratic Republic of Congo at Kabuyiri Shrine.
Pilgrims will then proceed through different stages including Kiburara, Kasese Cathedral Parish, Hima, Yerya, Virika, Kayihura, Rwibaale, Kibuye, Mubende, Kiganda, Mityana, Nswanjere, Busega, and Kigowa Parish before making a triumphant entry into Namugongo on 31st May 2026.

The Diocese has confirmed that the official flag-off for Kasese Diocese foot pilgrims will take place on 19th May 2026 at Kasese Cathedral Parish following a pilgrims’ conference and the blessing of pilgrims.
Church leaders have called upon Christians and well-wishers to support the pilgrims spiritually and materially as they undertake the long journey of faith in remembrance of the .
