JESUS KNOWS US AND STILL LOVES US


Memorial of Saint Cornelius, Pope and martyr, and Saint Cyprian, bishop and martyr September 16, 2021 –

Gospel, Luke 7:36-50


“If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.” Well, Jesus knows everything about us. He knows the darkest parts of me and yet he chooses to love me. His I love isn’t exclusive; it’s inclusive.

His love doesn’t write “some people off.” Even though we don’t deserve it, Jesus reaches out and embraces our broken selves and says; you are loved. You are forgiven. You are redeemed. You are mine. Jesus is willing to love you, knowing everything about you!!

Dear Jesus, I know that I am not perfect. I know that sometimes I am a mess, but thank you for loving me unconditionally and giving me another day to start over again!!! Amen
