GOD CAN WRITE STRAIGHT ON CROOKED LINES

Matthew 1:1-17

We see in Jesus’ genealogy, some men and women who were involved in sexual scandal and murder. We see liars and schemers, outsiders and outlaws. What all this tells us is that God can use us no matter what we’ve done or failed to do, or who we’ve been or failed to be. He can transform sinners like you and me, to do great things and bless many people. In short, God is not limited by our past failures or family history, for He writes straight on crooked lines.

Dear Jesus, come into my family history and heal it from the influence of any evil. May the power of your incarnation help me to rise above the failures in my family history and scars of my past. Amen.
