THE LITTLE BABY WILL PAY THE PRICE FOR US!

Luke 2:22-35

Simeon said to Mary that Jesus would be, “a sign that is opposed” and a sword would pierce her soul too. This is the first hint in Luke’s Gospel that all would not go smoothly for the Messiah and neither for the mother. Awaiting baby Jesus is rejection, opposition and the cross. This rejection of Jesus during His life was necessary for our salvation – for apart from it, we would be eternally rejected. This Little baby will suffer for us! He will buy our freedom!

May God’s favour be upon us; may Christ’s passion strengthen us and may we never be separated from Him. Receive the Lord’s peace during this Christmas season! Amen
