Kasana Luweero Diocese updates.

Following the opportunity given to the Diocese to host the 13th National Caritas week and celebration of Caritas Uganda golden jubilee scheduled for Tuesday march 28th 2023 to palm Sunday April 2nd 2023, the core organizing committee at diocesan level convened at the diocesan head quarters on the progress of the preparations:

Central ecclesiastical province Caritas Directors met on 28/09/2022 at Bwala masaka Diocese to get updates from the organizing Diocese which is Kasana Luweero Diocese.

Fr. Mukasa Michael Director Caritas kiyinda Mitiyana Diocese is the chair person at central ecclesiastical province level.

A bank account number to deposit funds to support 13th national Caritas week and celebration of Caritas Uganda golden jubilee was opened:

The theme for 13th National Caritas week is “anyone who doesn’t work shall not eat”.

There will be a National dialogue and the theme is ” Enhancing Family economic security through value addition”.

A prayer for preparations of 13th National Caritas week and celebration of Caritas Uganda golden jubilee has released and Christians are encouraged to recite it in faith.

The Diocese is in search for atleast 50,000 well wishers to contribute atleast each 20,000 ugshs to fund the budget. Contact persons for this initiative are Mr. Julius Alituwa ( 0783-448829) and Ms Doreen Kirabo (0772-605260).

There will be village competitions in 92 villages on climate change, Health, Agriculture and income.

There will also be schools go green program targeting all schools in the Diocese.
