35 Ordained at Lubaga Cathedral Kampala Archdiocese

It was a blissful day at Lubaga Cathedral today Saturday 14th as 18 deacons were elevated to the order of priesthood as well as 17 seminarians were elevated to the order of deacons.

This happened after along wait having postponed the function from August last year to this year August.

In his message to the new Priests and Deacons , Rt Rev Bishop Paul Ssemogerere has tasked them to remain loyal to the Diocese, superiors and asked the Christians to pray for them as the evangelization work isn’t too easy to take on due to the challenges involved. Rev Fr Emmanuel Sebayiga who spoke on behalf of the newly ordained, thanked Msgr Wynand Katende for the spiritual leadership he gave them during their retreat. He further thanked the Lord for the Holy Sacrament they have received and pledged to work with every person to see their vocations thrive.

The function was held scientifically with only parents and a few priests allowed to attend.
