The Congregation of the Bannabikira Sisters Elects new Leaders.

As a way of change of leadership and taking the congregation forward, the congregation of Bannabiikira Sisters(Daughters of Mary) of Bwanda Kalungu District elected new Leaders

The Elected Sisters from Left to right: The very Rev. Mother Noelina Namusoke,Vicaress,Sr. Claire Nakubulwa,Sr Speranza Twinomujuni,Sr M. Goret Namugambe,and Sr Frances Namuddu.

In a Facebook Post of Uganda Episcopal Conference states that the New Sisters will lead the congregation in the next six years.

The Elected Sisters have pledged to fully take the congregation to greater heights and also ensure the expansion of the congregation. As they continue to do the work of God, let’s pray for them.

About the Bannabikira

The Bannabikira (Daughters of Mary) Sisters Bwanda is a Pontifical reliious congregation of women wihin the catholic church, with members making a vowed commitment of the love of God and their sisters and brothers in need around the world.

They are the first Indegenous group of women south of the sahara. The congreation was founded by Arcbishop Henry Streicher on december 3rd 1910 and placed under the patronage of the blessed virgin mary – Banabikira.

Currently the sisters are working in 16 dioceses in east africa, residing in 75 convents all together.
