Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Luke 1:39-56

Tell the Lord thank you

“And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour.” One of the things to learn from Mary as we celebrate her Assumption is her sense of gratitude. Mary thanked God in her very being, in everything she did and said and was. She’s an example of being a human being and giving glory to God in all circumstances.

For all the Lord has done and continues to do in your life on a daily basis, do you ever remember to say thank you? Friends, even if the only prayer you ever said was “Thank You – God” that would be enough. Gratitude to God makes you a candidate for more blessings from him.

Dear God, I will always praise you because your loveandmercy are with me forever. Amen.
