YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONS AT NSAMBYA

Youths at Nsambya celebrated their day in style through exhibition, blood donation, edutainment, information,food and inspirational talks at the Parish premises.

St.Anthony Youth Apostolate,on Sunday, at 10:00 am started their day with mass celebrated by the forty year jubilee Celebrant, Reverand Father Charles Katongole alongside the Youth Chaplain of Nsambya, Reverand Victor Mubiru in the Church, after which,the function was moved to the gardens.

The function was graced by the Mayor of Makindye Division, Alhajji Ali Mulyanyama Kasirye along with the Lord Councellor, Makindye and the division Councellors.

Mulyanyama, in his speech hailed the youth upon their hard work and requested many others to join them. He noted that most youth take long to develop themselves because they jump from one venture to another, thus suggesting that they should master one venture at a time, “Give it time to grow then benefit from it”, He said. He further requested them to save. Mulyanyama donated 100,000 shs in cash and pledged 1,000,000 shs for the upcoming project.

The Reverand Father Victor Mubiru emphasized building and upholding the Catholic faith, He said”,faith moves along with character, and then development,don’t abandon youth’s,advise them and help them to grow” He also requested youth to accept responsibility and fulfil it.

Mulindwa Alex,in charge of development appreciated the journey so far. He mentioned the running projects like the News bulletin where they run a few adverts, the youth sacco, and ‘Munomukabi’.

The function ended with jubilation and merry making as the people ate,drunk and chatted with one another.
