Prayer for October
God our loving Father,
We thank you for your ever sustaining grace that supports us in our Christian journey of witness. We pray for the Church; ever faithful to, and courageous in preaching the Gospel, that she may be a community of solidarity, fraternity and welcome, always living in an atmosphere of synodality.

We remember too, in a special way students in Uganda, who will this month be sitting in for their national exams. May your Spirit guide them in a special way at this time and may Mary Seat of Wisdom intercede for them for a happier return.

As the nation faces the threat of Ebola, may your healing hand reign upon our country to deliver speedy recovery to the sick; consolation to the bereaving families, and hope for all. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen!
