Archbishop of Tororo joins the Country in commemorating the World Tree Planting Day

The Archbishop of Tororo Archdiocese,His Grace,Dr.Rev.Emmanuel Obbo joined the rest of the Country in commemorating World Tree Planting Day celebrations in Eastern region, on the 20th of May 2022 at St Joseph’s S.S, Masese,Mbaale District.

Speaking before a multitude of people at Masese,the Archbishop who also was the Guest of Honour, urged Christians and the entire community to involve themselves more in afforestation as a way of stabilising the altered climatic conditions.

The event attracted a number of dignitaries among whom were ; the RDC-Mbaale district, Ministry of Water and environment officials, Mount Elgon Tree growing enterprises officials, District officials, head teachers, within region and several other Christians.

At the climax,over 500 trees of various types were distributed to St. Joseph Catholic parish,to primary and secondary schools around and to individuals.
