Bishop Kibira Urges Married Couples to Prioritize Transparency, Accountability, and Trust
By Kasese Guide Radio
Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale, Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and trust in married couples to build successful families. He made these remarks during a speech at the Parliamentary Catholic Chaplaincy in Kampala, after presiding over Holy Mass and lighting the Christmas tree.
Bishop Kibira encouraged couples to open joint fixed deposit accounts to generate profits for their families. He noted that the Bank of Uganda has unaccounted for money left behind by men who passed away without informing their spouses.
As Christmas approaches, Bishop Kibira reminded Christians to reflect on the gifts they can offer to the Lord in thanksgiving. He identified peace, humility, and love for one another as the greatest gifts.
Hon. Ferigo Kambale, Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament, welcomed Bishop Kibira’s visit to Parliament, describing it as a gift from God.
Hon. Lucy Akello, Chairperson of the Catholic Chaplaincy at Parliament, commended Bishop Kibira for accepting the invitation and pledged support for the construction of the new Cathedral.
