“CLERGY URGES MARRIED COUPLES TO FOSTER PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING IN FAMILIES
By Kasese Guide Radio
Kasese, Uganda – In a bid to promote peaceful and successful families, Rev. Fr. Godwin Kibaba, Curate of Nyakahya Catholic Parish, has appealed to married couples to appreciate each other’s weaknesses and politely guide one another.
While presiding over a thanksgiving Mass for Mr. Kapepyo and Ibango in Kakone Two Village, Bwera Subcounty, Kasese District, Fr. Kibaba noted that one of the major challenges facing married couples is the assumption that they are married to perfect individuals who make no mistakes.
He emphasized the need for couples to adopt better approaches that suit their partners, love one another, and forgive each other for peace to prevail in their families.
In a separate interview, Rev. Fr. Joachim Kihembo, Vice Rector of St. Michael Divine Mercy Shrine-Kabuyiri, urged Christians to pray for the gift of wisdom and love one another to promote peace among their neighbors.
Fr. Kihembo also advised children on holiday to focus on their future and avoid situations that may divert them from achieving their goals.
The clergy’s appeal comes at a time when families are grappling with various challenges, including domestic violence, infidelity, and lack of communication.”
