DO NOT WAIT TOO LATE

[Memorial of Saint Monica]

Mt 25:1-13

A priest visited a dying woman. He sought to tell her of the way of salvation. Her answer was: “I could never have left this matter to this hour.” Life without God and life outside the will of God is a risk no one should take. We must always hold to a sense of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. He could return tonight or tomorrow. Are you ready? Let us not wake up to the fact of eternity too late. If you are here and are holding back your life from God, do not wait too late!

Dear Jesus, give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning.Give me oil in my lamp, I pray. Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning, keep me burning till the break of day – until Christ comes again. Amen.
