LEAD BY EXAMPLE – WALK THE TALK

Matthew 23:1-12

“. … they do not practice what they preach.” Are you consistently practicing what you preach? Why is it important to practice what we preach? The most basic reason is the integrity of our faith; we are the body of Christ for the world.

The truth is that we may be the only example of Jesus that people see. And if we live a life of hypocrisy; if we, like the Pharisees, do not practice what we preach, we become a hindrance to the gospel of Jesus rather than a help. We need to, as the saying goes, “walk the walk, not just talk the talk.”

Dear Jesus, fill us with your Spirit that the words we speak and the things we do are able reflect our faith. May our lives reflect You! Amen.
