Daily Reflection Sunday 26th September 2021

26th September 2021

26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Mark 9:38-43, 45, 47-48

Jesus reprimands his disciples for their jealousy and envy. They were upset that someone who was not of their company was driving out devils in the name of Jesus.

I think the big questions I have to ask myself when I’m in a place where I can see nothing but jealousy and envy are: Is it going to hurt me to just be happy for this person? If I just let go of my jealousness, what does it cost me?’ Is God glorified with my feelings of envy?

Other people’s success is not your failure stop being jealous!!!

Lord Jesus, fill me with the fire of your purifying love that I may always rejoice in the good of others. May your light and truth shine through me that others may find new life and freedom from sin and the corruption of evil. Amen.
