Feast of Mary Magdalene,

Disciple of the Lord John 20:1-2,11-18

“I have seen the Lord.” Wow! What a turn of events. Mary Magdalene had gone to the tomb to pour out her heart in sorrow. But Jesus changed it all. He always does! Whatever your sorrows or trials today, you can have hope for a turn around because Jesus is Lord even over death.

He is risen and he asks you the same question like he asked Mary: “Why are you weeping?” Mary becomes Jesus’ first witness. He gives her the mission to go and tell the others that he is risen. From sorrow to hope! From weeping to witnessing! There is nothing Jesus cannot turn around.

Oh lord Jesus, turn my sorrows into joy, my troubles into testimonies. Give me the grace to process the challenges of life in light of your resurrection. May I be your faithful friend and witness. Amen.
