THE GAIN OF FOLLOWING

CHRIST OUTWEIGHS THE LOSS

Mt 19:23-30

“Look, we have left everything and followed you. What are we to have, then?” In short, Peter was asking; “is the Christian life worth it?”Is it really worth the sacrifice? Yes, the life of sacrifice for the sake of Christ is worth it in the present age. And the less we cling to the world, the greater our joy will be in this world.

We cannot outgive Jesus. He will also reward us in the age to come with eternal life. The Christian life is certainly “worth it.”

Dear Jesus, teach me how to follow you faithfully without complaint. May I experience the abundant blessings you want to give me both here and in heaven. Amen.
