ARE YOU RADICAL ENOUGH FOR CHRIST?

Feast of Saint Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist

Mathew 9.9-13

“Follow me and he got up and followed Jesus.” Matthew did not hesitate, no obsession with personal agendas, and no holding onto the past. He was so radical in his decision to follow Jesus that he literally left all the security, all the wealth and his former way of life. Matthew never turned back! When you follow Christ, you do not look back. Matthew burnt his bridges in following Christ and that is the call of Christ on our lives too; radical trust and discipleship.

Dear Jesus, give me the courage to follow you faithfully wherever you lead. Yes Lord, I will follow you no matter the cost. I have decided to follow you – Jesus – no turning back. Amen.
