Daily Reflection Wednesday 13th October 2021

Luke 11:42-46

“Woe also to you scholars of the law! You impose on people burdens hard to carry but you yourselves do not lift one finger to touch them.” We feel upset when our political, civil or religious leaders impose burdens on us which they never carry themselves. Do you do that too, in your own family or at work?

What Jesus wanted for the Pharisees and the scholars of the law then and for us now is to lead by example. Jesus wants us to walk the talk of our Christian calling.

Dear Jesus, please make me a good Christian, and let me be a good example for other people to follow. Let me faithfully and carefully serve you so that other people can be drawn to your Kingdom. Amen.
