
Episcopal Consecration of Bishop Elect of Nebbi Catholic Diocese announced
EPISCOPAL CONSECRATION OF REV WOKORACH RAPHAEL P’MONY ANNOUNCED.
The Diocesan Chancellor for Nebbi Catholic Diocese together with the Diocesan Administrator on Sunday 1/08/2021 took it to the radio (Radio Maria Ug, Nebbi) and through a letter to announce the Consecration of Bishop Elect, His Lordship Raphael Wokorach p’Mony MCCJ, after the Nunciature had earlier on confirmed. The Consecration which was due for June 26, 2021 was postponed due to fears for Covid 19.
“Dear people of God (brothers and sisters),
Cardial and warm greetings from Nebbi Catholic Diocese. As for the above referenced subject, the Nunciature to Uganda through the office of the Diocesan Administrator, Nebbi Catholic Diocese has the pleasure to inform you that His Lordship Raphael Wokorach p’Mony MCCJ, Bishop Elect of Nebbi Catholic Diocese will receive his Episcopal Concecration on 14/08/2021 in Nebbi,” read part of the letter.
Asked about how many people will be allowed in attendance, the Chancellor, Rev Fr Isaiah Milton says they are yet in talks with the office of the Prime Minister and before the last day, they’ll have ascertained the date.
Bp Elect Rt Rev Wokorach Raphael will become the fourth Bishop to serve in Nebbi Catholic Diocese after Rt Rev Arch Bishop JB Odama, Rt Rev Bp Martin Luluga (Emeritus), and Rt Rev Bp Sanctus Lino Wanok.
