Funeral of Fr Alfred Onyutha of Nebbi Diocese in process
The diocesan administrator of Nebbi Catholic Diocese Msgr Emmanuel Odaga has said that the body of Fr Alfred Onyutha who died recently in a motor accident in the United States will be brought soon to Uganda for burial. Explaining the delayed burial of the priest, Msgr Odaga noted that the body has been in the hands of the US police as it carried out investigations about the accident. Fortunately the investigations are now complete and the body was released to Camden Diocese where the priest has been serving.
“I can’t confirm now when it will be but we have already communicated with our priests who are serving in America and I will be waiting for their feedback. I can only confirm that in a week’s time or two, the body will have reached here for burial,” Msgr Odaga told mourners at the funeral of Reverend Fr Primo Bwo Manano who was buried yesterday.
One of 10 children, Father Onyutha was born August 14, 1959, in Uganda. He was ordained on May 26, 1990, by Bishop Frederick Drandua in the Diocese of Nebbi, Uganda.

- In the Diocese of Camden, assignments at Saint Joseph Parish, Somers Point; Infant Jesus Parish, Woodbury Heights; Holy Angels Parish and Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury; Holy Family Parish, Sewell; and Saint Padre Pio Parish, Vineland.
