Joy! as “9 Novices Make their first Profession of vows”

If was a joyful day yesterday 8th December 2021, as 9 novices made their first Profession Vows as Good Samaritan Sisters in a scientific nature ceremony at Bakateyamba Home.

The newly appointed Archbishop of Kampala Paul Ssemogerere in his homily congratulated the whole religious,all the new novices . He thanked the Almighty God for the newly Sisters received, the parents who have supported their children through out the calling and appreciated them for the continuity job well done of supporting the disabled/eldery that was started by Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga.

Bishop Ssemogerere encouraged the Novices not to be afraid but continue praying to God at all times.

The Cathedral Administrator Rev. Fr. Achilles Mayanja promised more support to the Bakateyamba Sisters. He also applauded all the good Samaritan Sisters for the work they do in helping the needy.

Mother General appealed to the new sisters to stay humble and in Christ with Love. ” Look at Mother Mary who is your intercessor” she said. She later thanked the parents who have given back to God by allowing their daughters join sisterhood, also thanked the Bishop for allowing to honor the function.

Mother General appealed for more support towards their congregation since they have alot of disabled to help. She went on appreciating everyone who gives support to the Bakateyamba and also paid tribute to the fallen Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga and Bishop Kaggwa.

Bishop Sekamaanya reminded the congregation to pray for each other and also listen to all Church Leaders.

Archbishop Augustine Kasujja expressed his happiness to see how the congregation was flourishing. He requested the sisters to adapt the teaching and evangelization of the catechism.

Among the nine nuns who professed their vows include: Sr.Carolne Nabaasa, Sr Maria Gorret Nabbowa. Sr.orimah Keneeema, Sr.maria Gorret Nabalunda, Sr Brenda Lucy Nabuuma, Sr. Winfred Kabazarwe, Sr.Annamaria Nakafeero, Sr. Vastina Naturinda Ateenyi , Sr.immaculate Orishaba

While Sr. M Regina Violet Nansukusa From Kyamulibwa Parish and Sr M Eva Nabiteeko from Katwe Parish both from Masaka Diocese Celebrated their silver jubilee today.

Sr Maria Regina Nansukusa the Jubilean thanked God for the gift of life, those who helped them during their formation and Mother General for the tremendous support she gives to them as sisters.
