Joy as Lugazi Diocese gets it’s 33rd New Parish dedicated to “St Anthony of Padua”

It was a joyful day on 9th October 2023 as the Bishop of Lugazi Diocese opened a New Parish in Lugazi Diocese named “St.Anthony of Padua Kasangalabi” Bishop Christopher Kakooza availed to the Christians their first Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Kimuli Gyavira who was working as the Chaplain at Mt.St Mary’s Namagunga.

During the ceremony, Christians gathered together with the clergy for adoration in the Parish and thereafter, the Bishop handed over the Keys of the Church to the First Parish Priest and the incharge of the Parish.

The function was graced by the Vicar General of Lugazi Diocese, different leaders within the Parish, the clergy and many others.

The New Parish St.Anthony of Padua Kasangalabi was caved from subparish of St Paul Mukono Parish. Now the New Parish is made up of 6 Sub Parishes and these are Kasangalabi,Kivuvu,Lwayonyi,Nakabago,Kilangira and Nakapinyi .

The Parishioners of the new Parish donated different items to the Parish for use that is cooker, Television among others.
