Kabale – Rt. Rev. Callist Rubaramira, Bishop of Kabale Diocese, has urged Christians to use the festive season to allow Jesus into their lives and make fundamental changes.

Bishop Rubaramira made the call on Christmas Day while presiding over Mass at Rushoroza Cathedral Parish to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

He emphasized the importance of humility, citing the example of Jesus, who, despite being in the form of God, humbled himself to become human and suffer on the cross (Phil 2:6-11).

The bishop encouraged Christians to draw nearer to Christ, learn from Him, and allow Him to teach them virtues of the children of God.

Bishop Rubaramira also called on parents to spend quality time with their children, teaching them Christian values, and sharing their time and resources with others.

Fr. Austen Christmas, the parish priest of Rushoroza Cathedral Parish, congratulated the congregation on reaching Christmas Day and reminded them of their Christian obligations to support their Church.

He announced the opening of Kishekyera hiika in Kyanamira Sub Parish on December 27, 2024, and the elevation of Kacuro muluka to Centre level on December 29, 2024.

Fr. Austen also thanked Bishop Callist Rubaramira for granting Rushoroza Cathedral Parish a piece of land in Kitumba Trading Centre to construct a Church.
