KEJI – FODA celebrates their Monthly Mass amidst Joy
Makerere, Kampala: The Kampala Entebbe Jinja – Fort Portal diocese Association commonly known as KEJI – FODA has today 2nd July 2023 gathered again to celebrate their joint Monthly Mass that took place at St. Augustine Makerere Conference hall and Student’s Centre and began at 10am.
This month’ s mass has been animated and led by Katoosa catholic Parish members of Keji Foda following Butiiti Catholic parish that animated the same mass previously in the month of June led by Rev. Fr. Venansio N. Busobozi , the parish Priest Of Katoosa Parish in Fort Portal who was the main celebrant.
In his Homily, Fr. Busobozi Venansio emphasised on the teaching basing on the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospel reading of this Sunday ( Matthew 10: 37- 42) that calls on the total love for Christ. He said that whoever considers himself and forgets Christ doesn’t belong to Christ’s own.
Talking about the cross, Jesus doesn’t necessarily mean the common cross we know but rather one understanding his shortcomings, bearing them and goes on to seek the mercy and forgiveness of Christ.
In this, Christ calls everyone to voluntarily go and do his work in love and fullness and sharing the good news to others. He added and said that the cross is also to sacrifice and leave your family, children, parents or other good things for the sake of doing Christ’s work and this has implications as well where by you’re not only going out to share joy with the people, but to also to condemn the evil and wrong deeds amidst the people without fear or favor so that their spiritual or social change may credit you to share the blessings and rewards of your work in Christ Jesus.
” Mutalitiina kugambira hamu n’okujumiirra ebikorwa ebibi ebirikugenda omumaiso eki nikyo Kristu alikwenda nukwo abantu basobole kuhinduka Bakole ebikorwa ebirungi ebirikugarurra mukama Ruhanga Ekitiinisa”
Fr. Busobozi Venansio emphasised, speaking in Runyoro Rutooro.
He added and said that as christians, this concerns everyone and not only priests or religious because when we were baptized, we were commissioned and sent to be witnesses and preachers to the world so the duty of evangelizing is for every baptized Christian.
Mr. Charles Nyakwebara the Chairperson of Katoosa Parish Keji Foda family that animated with joy, thanked God for enabling them to organize the animation that was colourful and splendid, also thanked the main Celebrant, the Chaplain of KEJI FODA Rev. Fr. Fred Tusingire Atwooki in his absence for accepting them to lead this mass and for keeping the entire KEJI FODA family united and moving forward spiritually nourished and socially together for the greater glory of God.
