Lugazi Diocese Intensifies Fundraising Efforts For Uganda Martyrs Day 2025

Lugazi, Uganda – December 1, 2024, marked the beginning of Lugazi Diocese’s fundraising efforts for the 2025 Namugongo Martyrs Day celebration. The event commenced with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Priest Centre Namagunga, led by Rt. Rev. Christopher Kakooza, the Ordinary Bishop of Lugazi Diocese.

Following the Mass, the fundraising function took center stage, with hundreds of millions collected in cash and pledges. The enthusiastic response from the congregation demonstrates the diocese’s commitment to making the 2025 Namugongo Martyrs Day celebration a resounding success.

As the lead diocese for the 2025 Uganda Martyrs Day celebration, Lugazi Diocese is poised to play a significant role in honoring the Uganda Martyrs, who were killed for their faith.
