Monsignor Francis Xavier Mpanga has been elected as Luweero Diocesan Administrator

This came as a result of Bishop Paul Ssemogerere being appointed as the Archbishop of Kampala on 9th December 2021 by the Holy Father Pope Francis leaving the Diocese vacant.

Monsignor Francis was elected by the Board of Consultors on Friday.

The Statement from the office of the Chancellor reads below….

Dear Fathers, I have been authorised and I have the pleasure to inform you that OUR DIOCESAN ADMINISTRATOR IS VERY REV. MSGR. FRANCIS XAVIER MPANGA.

He was elected by the Board of Consultors on Friday 28th January 2022. He has been the vicar general to Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere and the term ended when Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere was appointed to kampala Archdiocese.

Let us pray for him as he assumes this demanding ministry.
