Nebbi Diocese Seeks Ugx. 3.8 Billion for 2024 Uganda Martyr’s Day Preparations.

Following the choosing of Nebbi Catholic Diocese by the Episcopal conference of Uganda as the Diocese that will animate and lead the Coming 2024 Uganda Martyr’s Day Celebrations at the National Martyrs Shrine Namugongo On 3rd June 2024, Rt. Rev. Raphael p’ Mony Wokorach the Ordinary Bishop of Nebbi Catholic Diocese calls on the Faithful people of Good will in Uganda and Else where to voluntarily and willingly support the diocese as the preparations begin early for the national 2024 June Catholic pilgrimage at Namugongo Kampala.

Bishop Raphael Says that the Theme for the Celebration is already set being taken from Joshua 24: 15, ” But as for me, and my household we shall serve the Lord.” Meaning that the preparations are officially ongoing with the first steps getting done especially the ready chosen theme, the Central Organising Committee (COC), steering committees, and other related first steps intended to take up this Journey to ensure the success of the Pilgrimage as the leading Diocese, Nebbi.

Our reporter contacted the Chancellor of Nebbi Catholic Diocese Rev. Fr. Robert Ochola for more about the preparations and Fr. Robert said that the COC – Central Organising Committee for the 2024 Martyrs Day Celebration was officially launched in the Diocese on Sunday 30th July 2023 by the Bishop to spearhead these general preparations.

“This official COC is headed by Hon. Akumu Mavenjina the Honorable Member Of Parliament for the Older Persons representing Northern region of Uganda and she is deputized by Rev. Fr. Albert Oromcan with other members on the committee.” He Affirmed.

He also affirmed that the Budget generally stands at 3.807.618.186 Uganda Shillings which is not an available amount yet thus the Diocese Seeks assistance and supportive hands of all faithful and people of Good will from all over to help them do well throughout the preparations until the 3rd June Celebration is successful.

Fr. Robert Ochola Said that the Diocese of Nebbi has officially opened accounts whose one account number was shared with us where all the people are called on to deposit or send their financial Support towards this cause to help the diocese get successful through the early preparations for their forthcoming 2024 Uganda Martyr’s Day Pilgrimage and Celebration.
