Pope Francis Has appointed Rev Fr Dr Constantine Rupiny As the new Bishop of Nebbi Catholic Diocese

COMMUNIQUE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NEW BISHOP OF NEBBI

The Apostolic Nunciature in Uganda has the pleasure to announce that on 26th November 2024 His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Nebbi the Rev. Fr. Constantine Rupiny, of the Clergy of the same Diocese of Nebbi, Rector of the Uganda Martyrs’ National Major Seminary Alokolum, Gulu.

The Apostolic Nunciature desires to congratulate the new Bishop and invokes abundant blessings upon his pastoral ministry in that local Church.From 22nd March 2024, the Diocese of Nebbi was vacant, tor the appointment of His Grace Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, M.C.C.J Metropolitan Archdiocese of Gulu. On 12nd July 2024 Archbishop Raphael p’Mony Wokoraeh was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Nebbi.The Apostolic Nunciature expresses its gratitude to His Grace Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, M.C.C.J for his service as Apostolic Administrator of Nebbi.
