St. Balikuddembe S.S.S Kisoga gets ready for its silver jubilee.
The preparations for the celebration of twenty-five years at St. Balikuddembe Senior Secondary School Kisoga are in full swing at the school premises.

The jubilee celebration is scheduled to take place on July 8th, 2023, starting with a jubilee thanksgiving and mass that will be led by Rt. Rev. Christopher Kakooza, the Bishop of Lugazi Diocese. This will be followed by feasting, a showcase of talents through entertainment, and a display of handmade crafts from the school’s art and crafts students, a department headed by Mr. Luke Gabula, among other activities.
This celebration is prepared to greatly appreciate the students, teachers, parents, and the public for their joint effort in achieving the wonderful success that the school has experienced in the past twenty-five years since its foundation.

It was founded in 1995 by the late priest Fr. Byakyoli, whose legacy and foundation work are still evident in the current state of the school.
When interacting with some school heads, they said that preparations are generally in high gear and, as the school leadership, they invite the parents, general public, and well-wishers of the school to come and celebrate with them.
Besides the excellent academic performance the school achieves every year, St. Balikuddembe Senior Secondary School Kisoga is also famously known for its music, dance, and drama (MDD) program, which the school has excelled in and won trophies for over the years.
I recall ‘Dembe,’ a song that we performed in the early years of this school during our musical sessions, and it went into the record. Many people still remember the school for that song, said the deputy headteacher during an interview with our correspondent.
The school’s jubilee celebration is a way to thank God for the blessings He has granted them in all their successful endeavors. With the school motto With God, all things are possible, St. Balikuddembe Senior Secondary School entrusts itself and all that it does in God’s hands. Therefore, they hope for an even brighter future for the school following this upcoming jubilee celebration.

Furthermore, in terms of community relationships, this school has cooperated with its neighbors and most of their parents. They have been involved in charitable giving to the neighboring communities, especially to the needy, weak, and other vulnerable groups. On Wednesday 5th July 2023, the School gave back to Kisoga Community Water Source Supply which was launched by the area Member of Parliament Hon.Kayondo Fred and Rev.Fr Tamale Peter Lawrence the Chairman Board of Governors.

“We will continue engaging in these duties, such as offering bursaries and half bursaries to children from poor families and excellent performers, as well as those actively engaged in games and sports. We also provide job opportunities to our neighbors,” said the deputy headteacher.

We hope to continue this trend of cooperation in providing community service as a school to our neighbors, including setting up a community water project by building a water tank in collaboration with water providers, which will benefit both the school and our neighbors. We invite you all to come and join us as we dine, celebrate, and plan together for the best future of St. Balikuddembe Senior Secondary School Kisoga,he added.

The school administration, heads of departments, PTA, teaching staff, and students invite you all to joyfully come and join them in this celebration.
