
Young Christian Students (Y.C.S) of Adjumani Vicariate celebrate their rally Day
It was joyful day in Arua Diocese on 7th October 2023 as Young Christian students of Adjumani Vicariate celebrated their rally Day enrolling180 students (Y.C.S aspirants) in the Y.C.S movement at Biyaya Secondary School, Adjumani District.

The celebration was under the theme ” Christ is Alive in you and Me” and many schools participated include; St. Mary’s Assumpta Girls Secondary School, St Daniel Comboni Comprehensive College, Adjumani Model Secondary School,Biyaya Secondary School, Msgr. Bala Secondary School, Mungula Secondary School and Adjumani Secondary School among others.

Rev. Fr. Denis Iranya, the rector of Holy Cross Pilgrimage Centre, Indriani shrine was the main Celebrant.

In his homily he encouraged the Young Christian Students to remain strong in their faith and to pass this faith to other students. He urged them to be light to other students by being exemplary in their faith through their consistency and dedication in praying the Holy Rosary, attending Holy Mass and receiving the sacraments.

The Diocesan youth Chaplain for Arua Diocese, Rev. Fr. William Andima, in his message to the students mentioned that Jesus was a youth, so the young Christian students should take the mantle and make Christ alive to everyone in the school and entire community in whose life they share, especially to the needy, the sick and those who have lost hope in life; through different activities which should offer as Charity work.

He also Cautioned them against modern challenges such as drug abuse and misuse of social Media among others.
