Nebbi: The Central Organizing Committee, steering preparations for the 2024 Uganda Martyrs Day pilgrimage and celebrations to the National Martyrs Shrine Namugongo from Nebbi Catholic Diocese has finally announced the number of the so far, registered foot , Bus and private transport pilgrims who are set to start their foot walks from Nebbi to Namugongo , Kampala for the annual 3rd June Celebration of the Holy Uganda Martyrs.
Nebbi Catholic Diocese, being the leading diocese in this Year’s celebrations, a Compiled list released by the Central Organizing Committee (COC), Nebbi Diocese signed by Rev. Fr. Nerris Oyirwoth as its General Secretary indicates that a total of 2826 Pilgrims have been confirmed and registered from different parishes of the Diocese.
It also shows that a summation of Foot Pilgrims is 724, Bus pilgrims 2050 and those with their own means of transport are 52, however numbers are expected to rise in the coming days prior 3rd June.
