IS IT PERHAPS TIME TO
DE-THORN YOUR SOIL?

23rd July 2021
Matthew 13:18 -23

“The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making unfruitful.” When worries become larger in your mind than the Word of God – they hinder the Word from bearing fruit. Wealth in itself is not evil; but selfish pursuit of wealth and idolizing it will choke God’s life in you.

Do not be busy pursuing wealth that you
miss God and his plan for your life in Christ
Jesus. Money cannot buy eternal life. I think it’s time to remove the thorns from our lives. It’s time to live a full, abundant life in Christ!
Father, help us be receptive to your Word. Help us to study the Word and allow it to dwell in us richly. Help us to live a full and abundant life in Christ. Amen.
