MY SPIRIT REJOICES IN GOD MY SAVIOUR

Luke 1:46-56

Mary can no longer contain the joy and wonder that have been building in her since the angel’s announcement. She breaks into song: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour … “

Rejoicing in God is essential because it is the main reason for our existence. It is spiritual suicide to praise lesser things more than the One who is supreme over all. We are healthiest spiritually when we supremely value the supremely valuable. May we join Mary forever to rejoice in our Salvation.

Lord Jesus, let our souls magnify You always. Help us lord to tell everybody about what you have done in our hearts and lives. Help us to rejoice in You forever our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
